July 18th - Day 199

Many people have had a direct experience of the Self, but due to our reliance upon the mind to interpret everything for us, we fall into the trap of attempting to replicate the experience when we never had anything to do with the experience to begin with.  This is very important to see.  If we think that it was by our own efforts that we made the experience happen, we are subtly falling into the trap of the ego/mind which likes to claim credit for every significant experience.
