July 7th - Day 188

When someone dies we think that something has left, something has gone somewhere.  But nothing has gone anywhere.  Personality is only thoughts.  There is nowhere to go.  It is similar to the thought that you had last night just before you dropped into deep sleep.  Where did it go?  It just stopped.  But the Essence that gave thought or personality its life does not go anywhere.  That Essence, without thought, was/is You.  As the body slept, You remained, devoid of thought, just Aware.  And as the body stirred into consciousness, the "I" thought arose and "your" day began.
