September 13th - Day 256
It is often difficult for us to give up the notion that our loved ones somehow or other survive death in some way, and this is connected to our own wish for this for ourselves. Many do not want to hear this because it points directly at the lie of the "I." When we completely give up the idea of any kind of survival whatsoever, when we surrender completely to the Self and give up the thought of the self ("I"), contrary to what we think, we actually begin to be at Peace. We begin to Know the deep Peace of no hope. All suffering depends upon hope.
