June 6th - Day 157

You cannot lift your finger.    The finger lifts and a split second later you say, "I lifted my finger."  From this follows the false belief that you had a choice in the matter.  Thought always lags action.  Now, if this be so (and one can see this for oneself) then one can see that they have nothing to do with any bodily action except to comment on it.   And when one begins to See this, one begins to recognize all of the spiritual Teaching that say, in one way or another:  You are not your body.  And if one is serious, one will then ask, "Who Am I?"
